Apostille Stamp Services by MEA

The Government of India has authorised the Ministry of External to issue Apostille Stamp Sticker to all the documents required verification in India. All the documents verified by the Ministry are valid in The Hague Convention Countries only. The Hague Convention 1961 made it legal that any document attested by one member of the convention will be acceptable to all other countries. All the personal documents like Birth Certificate Apostille, Death Certificate Apostille, Marriage Certificate Apostille, Educational Degree Certificate Apostille Authentication, etc. are done.  Only genuine documents are attested by the ministry by affixing a sticker with unique number.

The procedure is as follows-

Step 1: Authentication of documents

Apostille to all original documents/certificates by the authorities of the State/Union Territory from where the document has been issued.

Step 2:Legalization of documents

attestation of the document by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Types of Documents:

The applicants need to submit the following documents:

1. One clear photocopy of the passport;
2. One clear photocopy of the document;
3. Original document to be attested;
