Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Document attestation

The original documents which require attestation or Apostille by the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi, should be first attested by the assigned departments of the State Governments or the Union Territory from where the documents were issued to the candidate. attestation by MEA can only be done after the relevant state authority has attested the particular document of the candidate. The documents can only be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) after these have been authenticated with the signature and seal/stamp of the designated authorities of the State Government/Union Territory/Chambers of Commerce from where the documents have been issued. The documents are then legalized by the MEA on the basis of the signature of the designated authorities.
